BreedTools participates in affiliate programs. That means some outbound links to products are affiliate links: if you click one and make a purchase, BreedTools may earn a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same either way — the commission comes from the retailer, never from you.

Affiliate income helps keep every calculator, tracker, and guide on this site free, with no accounts and no paywalls.

Amazon Associates. BreedTools is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, BreedTools earns from qualifying purchases. Amazon affiliate links appear within our tools and guides wherever a specific product genuinely fits the content — for example, the pet-scale recommendations in our newborn puppy weight chart guide.

Chewy. BreedTools takes part in the Chewy affiliate program through the Impact network. Where a recommended product is the same item on Chewy, readers in the United States see a “Shop on Chewy” link (Chewy ships within the US) beside an “Also on Amazon” link; readers elsewhere see the Amazon link. Chewy links are affiliate links like every other shop button, and a small product photo supplied by Chewy may appear beside a Chewy link. An affiliate link adds no surcharge: each retailer charges its own price, and the commission comes from the retailer, never from you.

Affiliate networks. BreedTools also participates in affiliate networks such as Impact and Awin to partner with brands that active breeders already buy from — health testing, food and supplements, whelping and nursery supplies, and equipment like heavy-duty dog crates. Any partnership formed through a network follows the same labeling and disclosure rules described on this page.

Affiliate links on BreedTools are the shopping links inside product boxes and checklist tips — Shop on Amazon, Shop on Chewy, “See all … on Amazon” and the like — a one-line notice sits under the title of every page that carries affiliate links, and a disclosure line opens every affiliate placement — not buried on a separate page. Affiliate links open in a new tab and carry the rel="sponsored" attribute so search engines can identify them too.

Every product box opens with a disclosure line. Ordinary links in the text, to our own pages or to sources, are editorial links and BreedTools earns nothing from them.

Recommendations on BreedTools are never for sale. Products are chosen because they are what breeders actually use and trust — commission rates never decide what gets recommended, and a brand cannot pay to be endorsed. Where a cheaper or non-affiliate option is the better tool for the job, we say so.

Affiliate income never changes how the site works: every tool remains free, no account is required, and your data stays on your device.
